YOP #43

Have you ever had "book head?"  You know when you read for hours and then you just don't feel right?  I have "yarn head."  I knitted all day yesterday and completed Lanesplitter...YEAH!!!!!  and

I've knitted since about 6:30 this morning..off and on...and finished my first Do Zombies Skype? sock..Yeah!!!!!!  I've also finished the cuff on the second sock...

and I needed to step away from the yarn...my tailbone also hurts from sitting there for almost 2 days...but I also caught up on Sleepy Hollow and a few other shows.....

I am so excited that Lanesplitter is done....but I'm torn on whether to block it or not...it's a nubby wool..95% wool/5% silk...feels like Noro, but is Plymouth Yarn Boku...I think it looks great now..and I'm afraid if I block it, it'll grow....but it does have an elastic in the waist...that was the only place I have some mistakes...the waist..but figured no one will see them...

I also finished two other projects.  Last Sunday, I did some cleaning up of projects...I pulled the three strips of the Aran blanket I had made...and I sewed them together and now I have an Aran wrap...I was never going to make the other 13 strips...and we have a ton of afghans/blankets..so I decided I would use it as a wrap...

I also pulled out the reclaimed sari silk ribbon I bought at Stitches on Thursday night and made a braided cowl...that was the project I had in mind when I bought it...I couldn't find a pattern I liked, so I just made it up...

I did work on my Adele socks, but they are way too big..so they are in time-out until I can rip them out...Will finish Zombie socks, then Girl on fire, then H's Socks...and the turtleneck capelet in there...

So,as you can see, I've been busy, busy, busy this week....was also on antibiotics for the annual sinus/ear infection thing I get every fall...so I actually came home early twice....

It sounds as though you have been busy, but you're right, it's time to move now!! The sock is gorgeous.

That braided cowl is pretty cool ! Very good pattern choice for the recycled sari silk I'd think.

An aran wrap is so much better than 3 unloved Aran strips for a never-to-be-finished afghan!

Love the Zombie Skype sock! The yarn is fantastic.

Take care of that sinus/ear infection! I had that last year and am hoping to dodge it this year. I'm even considering a flu shot in case it helps :)

Wow you have been busy!
Love the Zombie Skype sock it's really very pretty and what a great use of the sari silk, I really like that braided cowl. Great way to use up Aran strips as well, especially if you know your not going to do the afghan. Hope your over your sinus/ear infection now.
