Stitch Along Wednesday - Week 13

Hello!!!  Happy Stitch Along Wednesday - Tuesday night....the Hubs just asked why I posted it on Tuesday..and I said, "So I don't have to do it Wednesday morning"...and he said, "But it's Tuesday"...to which I replied..."It's Wednesday in some parts of the world."...he said, "You got me there.."

He he....
So not much else happening here...really, seriously...I crocheted a few stitches on something, but that's it.....guess that mojo has gone away again.....

Someone on Instagram dedicated February to finishing her sock WIPs....I think I may dedicate April to finishing my shawl WIPs...

We have...
Irish Oak

Edgy Carol
My Shelly Valentine (kind of a shawl/cowl/shawlette thingy)

Willow Fields

Outlander MKAL

Fire and Blood (Game of Thrones MKAL)

Light in Shadows...which is silk....

I am waiting for The Walking Dead season finale and dreading it at the same time.....I have Thursday off and M-W next week are half days for parent conferences....the following week is April break....so, I'll have some time to finish things up....

How about you?  What type of WIP do you have the most of?  (I also have 6 socks WIPs)

Please link up...or just say hi.....

Year of Projects - Week 13

Funny story...my grandmother had a heart attack one year around Easter....she woke up in the hospital surrounded by Easter lilies....she thought she had died and gone to heaven.....she hated Easter lilies after that......she is now gone and in heaven...wonder if she is surrounded by Easter lilies today????

So this is a kind of boring post, not much has changed....still working on the Irish Oak....see here's the thing...I don't knit/crochet constantly....sometimes I just THINK about it.....and well thinking about it, doesn't get much progress done...lol...anyway...I did a lot of THINKING this week and not much doing.....

so I'm pretty much where I was last week...although I am ready to start the lace border, that's 21 rows...so much closer to the end....no new pictures....but yesterday I posted a Stash update...you could go there for some pretty pictures....

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter...we will be heading to the in-laws....today my SIL would have been 46...she passed suddenly last February.....my husband is their last child, as his brother passed suddenly two years prior to that.....

Stash Acquisition Saturday

So much Stash Acquisition lately.....you'd have no idea, I actually thought about not buying anything until my state's Sheep and Wool at the end of April....pee-shaw! That boat has sailed...fantastically....

So since the last update...which really wasn't that long ago....

Oh, before I go on....the Glenn and Carol yarn is from Desert Vista Dyeworks....
If They Kill Glenn is the Red.....she has inspiration pictures up on the site...
If They Kill Carol is the Purple.....
I also have If They Kill Abraham
They are Dyed to Order, so it takes a little while to get them, but so worth the wait!  I do know of a another doing The Walking Dead inspired yarn....LBArtYarn, some of hers are also Dyed to Order..Also Groovy Hues Yarn has The Heart of the Walker That Bit Ya'

She (Desert Vista Dyeworks) also just started doing a Wizard of Oz/Zombody mashup...I NEED THESE....
Zomwhere Over the Rainbow....I'm going to wait until the collection is complete and grab the rest....

MadColor's second Bad A$$ Girl is "Rey Awakened"

The first was Agent Carter, not sure I showed this one...wasn't on last post...

And I just signed up for her Mad Geek Tour - Joss Whedon!!!!!

Went shopping for my swap partner at a favorite LYS and also bought these for myself...

.
I also had a trip to WEBS and another LYS...I bought this at the LYS....
Mini rainbow set from A Hundred Ravens....this is such a great shop!  I really love them and their yarns...although I seem to just be collecting them at this point...I have another of their mini-sets in greens and purples set aside for a Leftie....

Also picked up some sock yarn...

I went a bit crazy at WEBS..... I fell down HARD when it came to the Madelinetosh....
Pashmina worsted...swoon!!!!!  Going to be a cowl....

Twist Light in Daffodil and Pendleton Red...I don't think anyone does "autumny" colors better than Madtosh.....the gorgeouseness!!!!

Madtosh Home....such squooshiness!  This is going to rival Malabrigo's Rasta....

New yarn to me....The Fibre Co. Cumbria...brown masham wool, merino and mohair....the contrast of those colors!!!!

Moving on....ordered this from Witch Candy...she does a Two for Tuesday, where she just dyes up something and only offers two skeins...this one was really popular, so she took orders for it...
Birch Fire...I thought the grey would be more white, but I'm okay with it...as I've already seen someone knitting with it...and it looks amazing!

The last month of the Quaere Fibre Self Stripe....SWOON....rainbow....
It is called Georgian Doors.....Love so much!!!!

I think I am all caught up now....well until the next shipment arrives...I don't think I have anything out on order, but I do have my FibreShare swap package en route...so who knows what will be in there???

And I might do the Great Rhody Crawl in a couple of weeks....I didn't do the North Shore one last weekend....but I am itching to do a crawl....

How about you?  Any great acquisitions lately?  Wanna link up?... Let's share the yarn love...

Wrap Up Friday - Week 12

I apologize for the last two Fridays.....2 weeks ago, I just forgot...last week, I tried to do the post before leaving for work...but my computer wouldn't load...I tried it three times and then I had to leave...I'm a little late today...I do have the day off as it is Good Friday, here in the States....

I have not finished anything....so nothing for me....I am very close to finishing my Irish Oak, so that should be posted next week...

For those of you who celebrate.....I consider myself a Christian, I grew up in the church, but I no longer attend....as my personal beliefs collide with many of the teachings of the religion I belong to...so I have been on a search for a new church....but I also don't believe I need to attend a church in order to be a good Christian.....but it can be a good community...

As always, please provide a link back....

Stitch Along - Week 11

Céad míle fáilte ......

I am feeling good right now....took a nap when I got home from work....I usually take a nap when I get home, but this was a two hour doozy!  I did not sleep well last night, as the nap I took yesterday ended with a splitting headache that I could not get rid of....

So, I was planning on having my Irish Oak finished for Thursday...well that's not gonna happen....well it may be finished, but not blocked...so I may steam block it to wear....but I do have the matching nails going on....

Oh and those of you that may have stopped by on Sunday, saw this...
And I lamented on how they were too big....well Renee...told me I'd feel like a "jackass" (it's all good) because I had them on backwards!  Yep, she was right!
Hope you are having a splendid  (not jackassey) day.....

As always, please link back....see you next week...

Year of Projects - Week 11

Good morning, my fine fellow Friends in Fiber!!!!!

I skipped last week, well just because, I didn't feel like getting on the computer...I have tried scheduling posts, but they never seem to actually post....so I have to physically get on the computer...and the tablet is a pain in the arse to try and do a blog post on....so well....there it goes...

I have been somewhat fibery busy this week...still having a bit of Startitis....
So I decided I NEEDED to start something with my Luck of the Irish yarn from The Cyborg's Craft Room...it had previously started life as a sock....it was frogged.....so here is my Irish Oak....It is the Oaklet Shawl pattern....
You can see where the "new" or fresh yarn starts......the stitches are much more clear....

I also worked a bit on my capelet...

I also put in some time on my Zombie Vixens....but here's the problem...
They are suppose to be fingerless and the thumb is just starting....plus they are a bit wide....the pattern is one size to fit most people...I have teeny, tiny hands....but GAH!!!!!  The thought of ripping back any cables!!!!!  I don't do cables easily.....

Much nicer news are my Vanilla mitts...

So how was your week of projects?

Stitch Along Wednesday - Week 10

Evening my lovelies!  I have cast on something new...about an hour ago...earlier this evening, I decided I needed to cast on something with my Pot o' Gold yarn from the Cyborg's Craft Room.  I got it last year and started a sock with it...but it didn't work out...
So I frogged it a bit ago and decided tonight that I NEEDED to use that yarn RIGHT NOW...so I have started The Oaklet Shawl with it.....and now it is almost bedtime and I just want to knit on it...sigh....
So what are working on?  Anything new?  I can't seem to stay with one project...I have a put a few rows in on a couple of other things....but I think this will get the majority of my time.....

As always, please link back...thanks for stopping...

Stash Acquisition Saturday

I have stashed...again....

Berry Colorful Yarnings....Deep Rainbow

Cornbread and Honey....Enchanted Rainbow

Notice a theme?  I'm a sucker for rainbow yarn...a sucker, born right here this minute!

Second shipment of Quaere Fibre Self Striping Club....Hydrangea Love...

Latest Nerd Girl Random fandom.....There's A Snake in My Boot....Toy Story

and the recent swap I was in had some discount codes, so decided to try some of this yarn for myself...
Peepaloo Fields in Mother Nature

The ones on the left are to become penguins....we are studying penguins, so I feel the need to make one or two...on the right?  Those will become a couple of these

Some Malabrigo Rios...just because.....that's Ravelry Red...and Cirrus Grey

I found this box on the porch one day this week...I opened it and puzzled about it for a bit...I hadn't ordered any Malabrigo...there was no note or shipping invoice...where'd it come from.....

Finally the Hubs admits he bought the yarn and packaged it up and put it on the porch, as if it were delivered...he has requested some Malabrigo Rasta mittens...he actually went to the LYS and ordered the specific yarn....yep...he's a keeper...and thinks he's funny....

I'm heading to Northhampton for a bit...got to shop for a swap...and well I'm going to Springfield, so might as well head up there....so I'm sure I'll have some more acquisitions....

Oh, someone asked about the Glenn and Carol yarn...it is from Desert Vista Dyeworks...she has a whole If They Kill series.....it is dyed to order...but worth the wait...
