Stash Sunday

Today I have some stash enhancement….this arrived in the mail

It’s Tosh Merino Light…it’s for this.  Which I have been dying to make….I just got one of his books too….I love his linear designs….today I listed to a podcast with him at A Playful Day.

So it is a Nerd Wars challenge, not sure I’ll get it done…but it is a landscape challenge and I took my inspiration from Cheyenne Mountain.  The setting for Stargate Command…

cm2 This second picture is the what the establishing shot looks like in the show….I think I matched the colors pretty well…what do you think? Not sure about the pinky one, but the other three work well..

    Is there a short answer to the question.. what is nerd wars challenge?
    Love and envy your Madelinetosh stash enhancement! What are the color names? I love how they seem to choose such evocative names for their beautiful hues.

    The colors are red-sequoia, pink-betine, tannish - bark,
    green - moorland

    and Nerd Wars is a thread on Ravelry...you join a Nerd Team and try to complete 6 challenges...there is a month break between tournaments..so next starts in February...come over and check us out...lots of FUN!!! I'm on Team Stargate Command...

    I just got my first skein of Tosh Light as well, it's really soft! I love the colors you chose.
