Shocking, isn't it? The idea that I have acquired new yarnz???? And I have gotten around the picture issue somewhat since I can upload yarn and project pictures directly from Ravelry...who knew!
So onto the pretty, pretty....(eta - a lot more than I thought, as I hadn't posted about any for awhile)
Newest Random Fandom...inspired by Garth from Wayne's World....
"She Makes Me Feel Kinda Funny."
Isn't that just a pretty skein of yarn? It's 100% BFL....
Well as co-captain of the Stargate Team over on Ravelry, when I found out there was a "Jack O'Neill" yarn, I had to get it! It has some of my favoritest colors in it...It's by Woolen Mill St Yarns and is Superwash Merino
Then I received my last Cookie A shipment. I did not renew this year. I enjoy the yarn, of course, but haven't made use of any of the patterns...or recipes...
This is a deep rich blue/purple color called: Scheherazade's Sky...gorgeous!
Also with the "Jack O'Neill" I ordered a skein of Three Irish Girls Adorn Sock....the colors got me...It's called Eilis...
In the same order, I received a Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Northern Lights....green and purple, what could be better?
Then, for some reason, I got included in the Loopy Groupies again as a new member and was sent another skein of Lorna's Laces Honor in The Loopy Ewe Shuffle...it's not my favorite colorway, but I now have 900 yards of it....bet it would make a great shawl! Baby alpaca and silk....
Then I received my latest Mad Geek Tour yarn...this is Into the Black club..color is "Warrior Woman" named after Zoe...and the yarn is Superwash Wool and nylon...
And I did recently go shopping again.....hmmm...I had to!!! I was in a swap! Had to go get some things for my swap partner, so I headed out to Webs...well Northhampton...I was also going to Newbury Comics....but I came home with this...for me....
Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted in Bowtie
Noro Kogarashi to make fingerless gloves to match the Election Cowl
Madelinetosh Merino Light in Steam Age, this is going to be an Age of Brass and Steam - how perfect!
Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock in Shipwreck...I can't remember why I bought this one...
And they were having a Socks That Rock sale!!!!!!! Both are lightweight
Lucky - because who doesn't need bright green socks?
Rocktober! Says it all!
I also stopped on the way home to pick up some Koigu. I had a hankering...these are destined to be fingerless gloves with coconut buttons!
A lone skein of Lamb's Pride Bulky...I love this yarn since making the sunflower with it...This is also destined to be flowers....I have a sweater that the Hubs felted and I'm thinking of making flowers, felting them and adding to the sweater...I'm going to cut it up to make a cowl...
And finally, I purchased some Ella Rae to make some of Stacey Trock's monsters!
I did not include the sparkly yarn I got at Webs to make earrings for my swap partner or the green thread to make turtles...
Yesterday I went Christmas shopping...and bought some white thread to make snowflakes...and uhm some big box sparkly yarn for a scarf for a friend.....
and oh yeah Downton Abbey Seasons 1 and 2...gonna go watch that now while I craft.....but can't forget to get the Christmas at Downton yarn at Jimmy Bean's Wool.....:)
Yeah I know.....but it makes me happy....
Please to be telling me more about your stash. Husband says I have too much yarn (15 bins of yarn + maybe 2 bins of unspun fiber)...and that I *gasp* don't need to buy anymore :(
ReplyDeleteSooooooooooooo.........seeing everything you buy makes me feel better :)
That's quite the stash! Great color choices!
ReplyDeleteI'd be in major trouble if I lived close enough to visit Webs! What a great collection of goodies.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that Christmas at Downton a pretty colorway?
So many pretty yarnz! I showed Hubs the Jack O'Neill, he liked it. I should really get some.
