Cold Sheeping

If you read this blog, you know that "cold sheeping" is a foreign word to me.....however since I anticipate doing a bit of shopping during my trip in July, I decided to "cold sheep" it this month...except, of course, my yarn clubs!!!!

Yesterday I received my Nerd Girls Random Fandom......love!  It is inspired by Oz...and I think I may need to make something for the nephew....he and I share a love of The Wizard of Oz....
Here he is at 4, in his preschool production of The Wizard of Oz....he also was in a city production playing a munchkin about 6 years later....we have seen Wicked together...and he called and invited me to go see Oz with him a couple weeks ago....he is now 18 and living on his own...so I don't see him too often....but he once said to me.....I had commented that he was getting too old to want to spend time with me...

and he said.."I will always have time to spend with you."  awww...melt my heart!

So I believe I'll be making him something with this...It's Just Your Heart Withering Away
Then about 2 weeks ago, I received my Who Club from Mad Color.....now Heather does not do the "expected colors"  She takes inspiration and makes yarn with COLORS....

This is The Church of Auvers, taken from the painting in the Dr. Who episode with Vincent Van Gogh..
Look at how well it matches the painting....brilliant!

The previous month was: Life is Too Short and You are Hot..taken from Blink, but she didn't use the angels...she used this...

Sally Sparrow is so fantastic...

Like Heather (Mad Color) has said...her company name is Mad COLOR.....she likes color....

more yarn to covet...
Sally Sparrow was one of the best characters in who.
I'm glad that she was only used once and remains untainted.

I particularly liked that she went to the police. Brilliant episode.
I really want to rewatch Blink now. Work always gets in the way of my Who watching.
