Good evening my lovelies!!!!!  While I may have purchased a bit more yarn...blogged here, if you'd like to take a peek...I really haven't worked on anything.....been having some pain issues, especially in my hands the past week.....actually last Wednesday I came home early from work because my body was racked with pain....so slow going....

But with all the yarnz...I have been planning some projects.....I need to make a couple of these...

I'm also going to be making one of these....

and this and this

and the whole Fade shawl thing....I'll be doing this one (helping with the cause)...and maybe the sweater

BUT, we have three...yes three more weeks of school!  We go until June 16...so most of this is on  hold until then....

How about you?  What crafterly plans do you have for the summer? (or winter in the Southern Hemisphere)

Please link up and link back...thanks!

Mass Sheep and Wool

So this weekend, we headed up to Cummington, MA for the sheep and wool....we had a quick stop at WEBS for a bathroom break...and I needed some basic black yarn for a couple of Darth Vaders....I also wanted to pick up a yarn I'd seen at Stitches United.....some MadTosh in Night-Hawk
I picked up two versions....the one on the left is Tosh Sock, 100% merino and the one on the right is Tosh Merino Light, also 100% merino.......I'm interested in seeing how they work up.....

Then we headed to the festival.....where I only purchased TWO skeins of yarn!!!!!  I think I've just gotten so much in the past couple of months, I'm a bit saturated.....I have yarn in bags all over the place right now!  I'll be spending the remainder of the Memorial Day watching Band of Brothers and updating my stash page......
So I picked up Play at Life's Supernatural inspired "I found a liquor store and drank it." and some Deep Water Dye Works in Olive....which is a rich blend of olive green and grey...it also has 20% yak....a new Jessalu bag and "handle," which I'll be using for my keys at school...and some buttons from The Celadon Studio...she had some truly gorgeous mugs and yarn bowls.....

The last thing I bought was this poncho
It's from Ecuador, I will wear the "hell" out of this!!!! It's from Alpaca Artesania Yarina, she travels to Ecuador and buys direct from the artists.....her website is down, as it was hacked.....but I will love this so much when fall weather is here......and some random pictures from the day....
This was me waiting for the Hubs to be ready.....

WEBS, some MadTosh...and all the greens I DIDN'T buy, but was tempted!!!
I loved this bee mug from The Celadon Studio

My favorites, Jacobs and baby Jacobs!
This guy was gorgeous and just so majestic looking!
I want grey sheep...I think they have the most gorgeous fleece...

I was exhausted by now...by-product of the stupid disease I have....sigh...but we headed to Richardsons Candy Shop...

Another bathroom break at Yankee Candle, we did not stay....I was so tired by then...where I found these disgusting things....

all in all a good day...
**I have spent a little over an hour trying to get the pictures off my iphone to read on my new laptop...I finally came to my desktop, but now I have something not working on there...sigh!  Time for some lunch and some stashing....

Stitches United and CT Sheep and Wool

So the last weekend of April saw the return of Stitches to Hartford, CT.  The only problem with this, that I saw was that Connecticut Sheep and Wool was also that weekend. They were within 20 minutes of each other.  CT Sheep and Wool is never a huge event, it's only one day, with probably 50 or so vendors, mostly local farms. So I was apprehensive, although the folks behind Stitches said they had reached out and were going to work with the local show.  I don't know if they did, I never heard anything. So did Stitches affect the local show?  I'm not sure....there were several local vendors missing, but they weren't at Stitches either.

Stitches also tried to diversify and include sewing and quilting in the mix. I don't know enough about either to make any comments on that part of the show.  But it was definitely smaller, in fact, in the past they had the whole hall, whereas this year, part of the hall was partitioned off.

My yarny BFF and I went to CT Sheep and Wool Saturday morning and spent a couple of hours....

It was a good morning....

Then we went on to Stitches United....we spent a couple hours there and then on Sunday, we went back to help out friend, Mary, in her booth.

Trying to get out of the garage!!!!!!

Then on Sunday, well after the grand prize was announced about noon, the place emptied out fast!  It didn't help that the announcer told everyone to have a safe drive home!!!!!!!

That would be Mr. Hugzzz, otherwise known as "it takes balls to knit." He also is a background actor based in Vancouver, so he has been in TONS of the shows I watch!!!!!!! That is Lindsey from erin.lane bags, who has known Mr. Hugzzz for years, but didn't know that and freaked out about him knowing several of the actors, including Jesse Marrtin!!!

Then we played car tetris.....and were on our way....

I'm glad some form of Stitches is back and next year, it won't clash with CTS&W.  I got some great stuff and talked to many people, which is always fun, but missed Franklin Habit....

I posted my stash acquisition a couple Saturdays back!!!  Tomorrow I'll be heading to Mass Sheep and Wool with a stop at WEBS, so we'll see what else I acquire....
