Stash Acquisition Saturday

I went to a "new-to-me" fiber festival....I actually didn't get a ton..but first up...
Is Mr. Darcy!  It's from Ensign Brook Farm from a sheep named Mr. Darcy (the label doesn't say what kind)...such a gorgeous chocolatey brown, just like Colin's eyes (as his hair is getting quite silvery!)

This kit from Blind Buck Farm.  It's Leicester Longwool.  Every Tammy needs a Tam!

I also picked up some new pretties from a couple of favorites.
Hair of the Walker that Bit Ya' by Groovey Hues Fibers
I Get By by White Birch Fiber Arts (it's an olive green stripe followed by a rainbow smashup)
Resist Voldermort by White Birch Fiber Arts (ALL the House colors striped!)

And look at the cute little monster bag/chain purse!!!! It was in White Birch's booth, made by Woolly Mammoth Designs
Knits4Comfort had these knitted beverage holders.  I know Biscotte has been also advertising these, but shipping from Canada...so when I saw this, I decided to get it...she let me switch out the yarn, as I wasn't in love with the one with the kit...
And two new Jessalu bags!
I also ordered a skein from Must Stash....awhile back she had kits with a bag and soap and this yarn..
It is inspired by the colors of eggs!  It's more muted than I normally go for....but I loves it!!!!!! So I finally got some Must Stash!  Would have loved some of her Star Wars one too...sigh...

How about you?  Any new lovely acquisitions to share?

Wrapup Friday

Haven't had one of these in awhile....but yeah!  I have a finish!

The pattern is just a simple K2.P2...I find that this stays up better on my skinny legs than just a vanilla pattern...

Yarn:  Stray Cats Self Striping Socks in Hopeful Heather
The yarn was very thin, almost string like...and occasionally splitty.  I'm curious to see how they feel being worn, the socks are soft feeling.

I adore these colors!  Can't wait to wear them!

I also finished a pair of fingerless mitts for a friend.  She goes to an art retreat every year and gifts me the yarn she receives!

No pattern was followed....these are crocheted and I can do that in my sleep...

Yarn: Trendsetter Yarns Duchess in black
This yarn is yummy feeling!  64% wool, 30% cashmere, 6% polyamid

The only issue I had was well....black!  It can be so hard to work with!

Anyone want to join in?  I'll just leave this here...

Stitch Along: Week 39

Good evening my lovelies!  I'm so sorry I missed last week!  I remembered when I was driving home close to 5:00 pm....

I have got my sock MOJO back!!!!!!!  I have finished a pair.....

And...
I have a heel!  on a previous heel-less sock!  This yarn is scrummy!  It is going to be such a comfortable sock...the color is Folding Chairs from The Knitted Wit Her Story club.....inspired by Shirley Chisolm....

It's great autumnal colors...I am a little past the "hooded" stage....

How are you all doing?  I have lost lots of readers over them summer :( My fault, since I forgot to blog often....

Let me know what you are up to....

Year of Projects: Week 38

Look at me, two weeks in a row!  Wasn't sure I was going to do one, as thought I'd be heading out for the day....nope...woke up early because I couldn't breathe...took some medicine and now have been dealing with a stomach thing...yuck!  But did make plans to go to a new-to-me fiber festival next weekend!

So I've added some rows to my el dia de los muertos socks....on the second repeat of colors now...

I also finished the second ball on my Fortune's Shawlette.

I made these for a friend.  She goes to an artist's retreat at squam and always gives me the yarn she receives.  She asked for these last fall and I just got them finished for two reasons...one...black yarn! two..pain in hands.

I also put the last two stripes on my Spring is in the Air socks....they now join the pile of socks that need heels!  The only difference is that sock 1 is already done...

So that was me this week!  How about you? If you leave a comment, I will visit your blog too.

Stitch Along: Week 37

So a while back, I did two Week 25's....so this is week 37...sigh.....and how is your day going?

We had student convocation today...which is a great idea in theory...however, we go to the high school for it...we were dismissed to get on buses, as the HS were changing periods...it was a clusterfuck....many of the HS's waited for our lines to pass...some, not so much...glad I have a student teacher who was at the end of the line...as I lost track of some of my students, because our line was dissected.....but first bus ride of the year...
So on Sunday, I updated my projects on Ravelry (well mostly) and updated my stash on Saturday...so I think I'm ready to roll into the fall crafting....if my hands stay pain free......

My Dia de Los Muertos socks....coming along
The Wonder Woman shawl got started...that's about all I can say on that!
Two more stripes and glove one is finished!

I had a few other projects I added some rows to...but just went with these three for now...it was easy to find their pictures....

So, if you'd like to jump in and add your link, please do...have a great week...

Year of Projects: Week 37

Week 37!  How did that happen?  I haven't posted since Week 24.  Part of the reason has been this disease.  I never know when I'll be able to craft.  I just came off of two+ weeks of not being able to knit or crochet because of the pain in my hands.  I did crochet a bit last night, but my fingers are very crampy and I have some pain in my left hand this morning...it's very frustrating!  But that hasn't stopped me from buying yarn!

So this is where I was when I stopped week 24, let's do some updating.... (updates in BOLD)

Stitch Along Week 35

Good evening!  Again for me, it's a week with not much done...I added a row to my crocheted shawl, but that is it.

I've been having a lot of pain in my hands, so I have not been crafting in probably two weeks.  I had my infusion today and I hope that will help with the pain.

I really need to work on my Rhinebeck sweater, but doubt it'll get done :(

I hope you all have been having better luck...I'd love to see what you are making, please share and link back..thanks....
