Yarn Along and WIPs

So this week I have been working on 5 projects....one I completed on Tuesday, so it'll get it's spotlight on Friday....

Going clockwise....we have the Adele socks...I'm at the heel flap....I have done just a basic vanilla pattern on 64 stitches...not sure what I'm doing for a heel flap yet...any suggestions?

My Cedar Leaf Shawlette...hey I learned what a short row is!!!!!

My Hermione's Everyday socks (H's socks)...I have turned the heel and am picking up the gusset....

My Spring Buds hat....I finished the brim and moved on to the charts and realized I had a big gaping hole...tried to fix it, couldn't...it's been frogged...tried to go back and restart it, but then I couldn't get it to connect....put it down and walked away....today I have to sit at the car place to get my car tuned, so I'll work on it for a couple hours there......

ETA:  I am back about an inch on the brim, started it up again watching Deadliest Catch.

The book is The Distant Hours by Kate Morton.....I just started it...I ADORED her The Forgotten Garden and enjoyed The House at Riverton....I also have The Secret Keeper....

ETA:  As you can see, each project has it's own Jessalu bag....I have many of her bags now....

Join up here, here and here, if you want to read about some more projects....

Oh and I chopped off 14 inches of hair....

You have some pretty Wips at the moment! I am doing some vanilla socks too, think I will do eye of partridge for the heel flaps - so pretty! LOVE your watermelon sock kit too!

My favourite heel is eye of partridge. Spring Buds would be in a big-time timeout if it were me, so good for you to get right back to it. Congratulations on your short-row achievement. So many great things you can do with short rows. My fave is shadow-wrapped short rows. Hey, you could do short row heels too!

I don't know what it's called, but I like the standard slip-stitch/k1 heel. It really holds up, and I think it looks nice, too!

I knit too Cedar Leafs -- love them! I'm still not too good with short rows, though. I kind of faked my way through!

I'm seeing Hermione's socks everywhere! They must be special, will have to add them to my list.

Did you donate your hair to charity? It's great for making wigs for people going through chemo.

I'm knitting Hermione's Everyday Socks at the moment too, simple, but very effective.

One thing I've never tried and would love to have a go at is sock but I'm so scared about turning the heel that I chicken out
