Yarn Along and Works in Progress Wednesday

Hi there folks!  It's been awhile...and I am also still catching up on my blog reading as well as posting....when I miss a day, I have to go back and read any others I missed too....Need to see what's going on with those blogging peeps!

We have 10 1/2 days of school left and I am busy planning my upcoming road trip with the nephew..so excited....not much crafting will be going on during the trip...but lots o' sight-seeing and other stuff....

So what have I got in progress now?

Well I started my Nerd Wars dissertation....I am making the Cedar Leaf Shawlette by Alana Dakos in Madelintosh Pashmina in Norway Spruce..I think I'm going to love this...I have done the first 6 rows...

I also started a triangular blanket for my car seat....I have a black car with black interior...it get's HAWT!  Plus I can use this for one of the challenges in Nerd Wars....so I am making triangles using Naturally Caron Country in 5 shades....I wanted something that felt cool...and wouldn't be too hard to take care of....and I had a bunch of it...it has been discontinued...

Then I added a stripe to my Adele socks.....I'm just doing a vanilla pattern, because I wanted those stripes to come out right....

I have been reading James Patterson's W on the nook....I downloaded it last summer and my niece was reading it on our trip....I don't think it is all that good....it is FILLED with cliches and how he thinks teenagers talk....it's a bit annoying....but it's short, so I'll finish it....tomorrow a read-along starts for A Comedy of Errors by Shakespeare, so I found his works for .99 and downloaded...I haven't read any Shakespeare since leaving college, but I had read quite a bit (all those Eng Lit classes I took)   So it'll be interesting to see how I will like him as an adult...

Joining in with Tami and Ginny...

what a beautifully coloured sock!

I remember going to an open air performance of Comedy of Errors and rather enjoyed it, even if it was hard to follow what they were saying lol

Gorgeous socks!!! I like the triangles too. They'll look great against the black in your car.

I've just had an unexpected 3 day weekend and yet still have one week of school left from tomorrow. So ready for the year to be over as it has been a crazy one. Enjoy your road trip. I haven't been crocheting much lately but trying to get back my crafting/blogging mojo now that I will have more time on my hands. Woohoo for summer vacation. Best wishes, Tammy
