It's still a double crochet, but kind of on a bias, which gives it a different look. I think the yarn is a Plymouth Yarn, I seemed to have lost the band. Well I'm sure I still have it somewhere.
But since it's been so hot and humid this week and our a/c is not in yet, I really haven't done too much...it's just too sticky to be working with wool...may have to wind some of my cotton up to work with...I adore Manos del Uruguay Cotton Stria, which they stopped making, so I hoarded it whenever I found it!
I also have some other cotton yarn, which is similar
So we'll see....
I'm heading to the Massachusetts Sheep and Wool today...not expecting to buy much (hahaha), because I seriously have been on a splurge...but I'm sure I'll find something I love....
this was my Friday...
Field Day at school...I was so exhausted I slept almost 12 hours....luckily it wasn't too humid that day...just a bit...

I am loving your shawl. Have fun in my home state :)
I'm glad you had good weather for your field day, it looks like fun, but exhausting. The yarn and shawl is lovely and a bit different, which is good!
Yes, it is time for non wool fibers here too. Your shawl looks intetesting. Almost like a C2C. Manos de Uruguay has some great yarns. I have bought their cotton too and am sad they no longer make it.
Love the colors in your shawl. And all the other yarns are so pretty, too!
Your shawl is lovely. I love the yarn and the design looks similar to the pattern I used for that blanket I made as it is on the diagonal too. My daughter is a teacher and is starting to see light at the end of the tunnel! LOL!
