I have a finish!!!!
Jacinta Capelet
I wore it today and received many compliments
The Deets:
Pattern: $6, but was gifted to me
One Size
Yarn: Malabrigo Rasta in Teal Feather
Amount: 3 full skeins
Modifications: I went down a needle size, I didn't do a gauge swatch, but I'm a loose knitter and was afraid I might run out of yarn.
I changed the amount of rows between decrease rows, mainly because I didn't pay attention to the first set...I also did not do 16 knit rows before bindoff, as there was not enough yarn...so it's a smidge shorterr, but because the yarn is more of a super bulky, it's not too bad.
Thoughts: The neckline is a bit wide for me...I wish I had decreased one more row....but it does stay up. It was comfortable to wear, not long enough to get in the way...
So how about you? Any finished this week? Please link back...thanks...

Stitch Along Wednesday - Week 9
Hi ya' all.....how was your week? I finished a project...yeah!!!!! I think I only want to work in bulky yarn...things just finish up so quickly!!!!!
I put a little more length on my Stopover arm...but it's looking a bit wide, so don't think I'm going to increase anymore...I don't like tight arms, so I'm glad it'll be somewhat loose...just afraid of running out of yarn...
I also added a few rows to my Glenn Lives socks...which I'm hoping is true...and a few rows to my Edgy Carol....but there is not much difference in them...
Yesterday I was absolutely knackered....we had a field trip to a tech high school's culinary program to help make lunch...as our children will be running a one day restaurant in May....it was a great field trip...but exhausting....plus I'm heading into that time of life...and I guess one of the symptoms is being tired...that's not going to play well with my anemia, as I'm already tired a majority of the time...*sigh*
Anyway, I came home and took a 2.5 hour nap and still went to bed by 9:30 and slept through...very tired!
How was your week? Wednesday is Read Across America Day and/or Dr. Seuss's birthday....I get to wear my Green Eggs and Ham shirt....yeah! Do you have a favorite Dr. Seuss? I enjoy Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, etc...but I love Oh The Places You'll Go...and The Lorax....
As always, please link back...thanks!

Year of Projects - Week 9
Well, I skipped a week...I had no crafting mojo and I just couldn't be bothered.....
Between then and now....I started and finished a project...it's blocking now, so I'll have a "show you" on Wrapup Friday!
I bought some new yarn...I need to make some bunny rabbits....a friend's twin girls started a charity a couple years ago...they collect bunnies and donate them to a children's hospital and a women's shelter...This pattern is free until tomorrow, so I'll make a couple....and I also decided I needed to make a penguin....also the Hubs went shopping for some yarn for me to make him some mittens...*sigh*..he's got good taste...Malabrigo Rasta....
I started the first sleeve on my Stopover, but didn't get too far...need to get back to that...other than that....

Stitch Along Wednesday - Week 8
Hello there! So how was your week? I haven't worked on anything since last Thursday...when I started this...
I joined my friend, Maureen, in making the Jacinta capelet...we are making it in Malabrigo Rasta..
I was frustrated because I kept coming up a stitch short....didn't figure it out, but fudge something and now it's going along swimmingly....I did put a few minutes in on it Tuesday night before the blog..
I also spent Saturday finishing the third book in that series I was reading, Knit One, Pearl One. On Sunday I bought the new Clara Parkes.....read one chapter, so far..
So anything new with you??? As always, please link back...thanks...

Stitch Along Wednesday - Week 7
We have had an exciting weekend of weather! It ended with an unexpected Snow Day today....although it is now in the 50's, this morning we had about 3 inches of snow and about a half inch of ice on top of it....it didn't warm up fast enough to melt things...so Snow Day....
So what have you been doing? As I posted on my YOP post, I did start a few projects...I've mainly spent time on my Stopover sweater and the new shawl I cast on Sunday night...
My Stopover, almost ready for sleeves...
And my Edgy Carol....
I actually think they complete each other quite well!
So what have you been up to this week?
After I finished this post, I checked the mail and I'd gotten the sock yarn I ordered from StrayCatSocks in New Zealand.....and I had to cast on! I ordered the kit, which came with dpns and a vanilla pattern. Just doing my regular vanilla pattern, as hers was on 64 stitches and I need to do 56 stitches....so here it is...
The color is a little off...the dark color is a dark purple...looks more blue in this picture...
As always, please link back...thanks!
