Year of Projects - Week 7

Hi..I'm posting really late....it's been a bad day around here...my husband's younger sister died suddenly today....she had been sick, but nothing too drastic...come to find out, she had been bleeding for a couple of days and not told anyone...so her body shut down today....my husband lost his older brother three years ago....he is now the only one left....I was home all day, waiting to hear from him, but didn't do anything...I wanted to knit, but felt that doing something I felt pleasure from was somehow wrong....

His family is very private....and he and his sister were extremely close....this will be hard for awhile....she and I had a cordial relationship, but weren't close....I feel bad for him...and I am sad for him...and tomorrow I have a funeral for a friend's mom...I did not go to the wake today, obviously....but she was such a wonderful spirit.....

I am going to post my YOP, so that I stay on schedule...but, besides my socks, haven't really done much this past week...

H's Everyday Socks 2/7/2015

I worked on my Stepping Stones and got to the foot on sock 2...and then noticed this...
See the difference?  There is an instep pattern that I neglected to start on the foot that is different than the leg pattern....I figured it out..I have to drop 11 stitches...that should be okay....

and I started another pair of socks from the same book.....and they are green...no judgment...

Whoa that is quite a list!! So sorry to hear about your sil, I feel the same way in that situation, like its wrong to knit while mourning (only for some time though) initially.

So sorry about your losses. I understand feeling weird about doing something joyful, but remember to take care of yourself too!

I'm so sorry for the loss of the sister-in-law. That is so hard for everybody. I'm glad you caught the 'mistake' on time on that sock...hey bring on the green! It's lovely!

So sorry to hear of the death in the family. Seems like this year is affecting many of us that way. I am on funeral #2!

The sock are great, love the color and can not wait to see the next pair of green socks you make. (no judgement)
