The darker, smaller one is for me and made for my head....
I have started my Slopes sweater, which was always going to be a WIP this year....it may be my Rhinebeck sweater for the fall....as it'll probably take me that long...
The yarn is a very hardy yarn from Bartlett Yarns...I'm not sure which kind it is...as they don't have labels and it's hard to tell by the website. The yellow has shots of color throughout. This is the first sleeve.
I did get some metal needles for the bulky cowl and have added a few more rows....
I also got to the fourth color on my Warm Neck cowl...my mindless knit...
I will be adding WIPs throughout the year, as there are several things I have the yarn to make...or ordered...cough...cough..my "throwback poncho," but I do want to #Wipthewipsin2017...I am trying really hard NOT to fall into the Find My Fade rabbit hole....I do not do well with KAL/CALs and I don't need to start another shawl...but I want to join and be one of the COOL KIDS!!!!!
But, most of you have seen my previous WIPs in Mind list....and well, I really do not need to add another shawl to it....but there is some MadTosh that keeps calling my name about it!...sigh...
If anyone would like to join in...here is the Ravelry group

Learn to Knit Afghan: (started 2010): 3 squares done, I put this in the giveaway yarn bags..not thrilled with colors....will use squares at school for water bottles..
Shark in the Woods (11/27/14)- I really love this, but it's a lot of cabling and I'm not a fan..about 1/2 done.
Vanilla fingerless mitts (12/25/15) - Think I'm going to frog and do different mitts or crochet them.
Garter Path Shawlette (5/30/16)- I have frogged this a couple of times...

Splashy Flowers: (May 2011) - add a motif scarf, don't see that being finished soon...
Light in Shadows (1/14/14) - I love this so much...need to start the new direction, so need to sit down and figure it out..
My Shelly Valentine (2/10/16) - should finish for this year's Valentine's Day
Bags:
Beach Bag: (started May 2010) Just needs lining sewn in, I used it this year without the lining...so may just call it a day on this....

That Slopes sweater is a classic, and it's going to look great in your yarn colours! I hope to see it in person this year at Rhinebeck... if the fates allow. I think January must be the month where we all feel most optimistic about KALs (LOL)!!
I hope to get to Rhinebeck this year. Wouldn't it be great to all meet up there?
I really liked seeing your uh, kitty hat on you on IG. I like the looks of that Slope Sweater. Have you knitted bottom up before? I'm intimidated but I'm sure it's not as hard as I think it'd be.
Happy knitting! Have a good week. Regula
First, I meant to mention this last week and forgot. For years I thought the book was called Far From The Maddening Crowd.....but it's Madding. I just read it a few years ago...wasn't thrilled and now I'm reading Brideshead Revisited and it's really bad. Just my opinion.
I love the Slopes sweater and your colors are fabulous. I joined some CALs and KALs for the first time....you'll probably see them next year as WIPs too! LOL!
I love the Bartlett yarns and they are reasonably priced too and made in the U.S of A.!
I'm going to check out a few of your WIPs like the Warm Neck Cowl....that says it all.
Great projects and I can't wait to see more of that sweater...so pretty. Have a great week!
The Slopes Sweater has a pretty neckline. I look forward to seeing it grow! And I love the colors in your Warm Neck Cowl.
Love your cowl and hats - the colours are fabulous. And the slopes sweater is going to be gorgeous.
