So this happened last Tuesday.....it's a new medication for my psoriatic arthritis. It is Siponi Aria. I get another in three weeks and then every eight weeks.....So we'll see how it goes...the nurse said it could take weeks or months to work....but....
It swelled up pretty bad, and I could not use it much, so no crafting has happened this past week
It was pretty black and blue.
It's a week later and it is still slightly discolored and still sensitive to the touch...
But hey today was Silly Socks day in honor of Dr. Seuss and I wore these....
My newest sock finish...Autumn Zombies, yarn by White Birch Fiber Arts.....not sure she carries this anymore, as I got it at Stitches East awhile back....never did a Friday Finish post about them...so Ta-Da!
Days are all messed up, because I had a few off...so really quickly this morning...I've worked on several things, finished a few up...sock mojo returned...yeah! How about you?
So I have been shopping on etsy again....and well my two LYS too....
First up, one of my yarn clubs....
Mad Color's BAMF club was Vanessa Ives...I couldn't place her and had to look the name up...ah! Penny Dreadful! I watched the first season...not sure I saw the rest of it...
I ordered yarn from my LYS for the Cowl-Neck Poncho I wanted a "throwback" poncho...I am using all Brown Sheep...
I ordered the "Aran" as the base color...I picked up the other colors in her shop...I also have some yellows, reds, greens, and teals....
Then she was having a sale, so I picked up...
I love their bulky yarn....maybe some hats....
The other LYS I visited was Madison Wool...that shop is about an hour from me, but I wish it was closer...I probably take a trip down there every few months...
I already have some of the beige, but needed more...the purple will be a "pussyhat" kind of....
Couldn't leave these Hedgehog Fibers there!
And picked up a skein of handspun....
Now from online....sigh...
Zombie Fun pack! From The Yarn At Home Mom She doing a pre-order for some kind of Friends theme, so if you're a fan...
And some more Zombie! My Zombie Valentine From Brazen Stitchery....I am not a pastel fan, but self-stripe with "blood splatters" sold me. I saw her making a sock on IG with it....I wound it up as soon as I cast off my last pair of socks...
Nevertheless She Persisted self-stripe, also from White Birch Fiber Arts
From Knitted Wit's Her Story Sock Club is Besame Muchos (Many Kisses) inspired by Juana Alicia. I am not familiar with her, so I will be doing some research. From the write-up, she is an artist located in San Francisco. This red glows...there is not other way to describe it...it's really very beautiful.
I also ordered some stitch markers and some hat tags from katrinkles....I also have another order on its way to me.....and I should be getting my Roald Dahl club soon....
How about you? Any new stash? Going to add a link-up, just in case....
Well, as I was snowed in for several days...(I didn't leave the house for 5, but it wasn't all snow) I did work on a few things.....I cast on and completed a pair of socks....and cast on and completed a baby hat.....
I've also been working on some more socks....so I think my sock mojo has made it's way back.....
So.....as soon as I cast off my Love Potion socks...I wound this ball and cast on my Zombie Vixen....I think I'm going to do a pair of Hermione...so Zermione Socks....
I don't do pastel often...but, but...these are SELF STRIPE with splatters of "blood" OMG!!!
I also pulled these often forgotten socks out...
Zauberball....I started these on that trip to Vermont in the fall...where I bought the yarn....
These will be great spring socks when they are done....
I also may have put a few rows on my "Nemo" socks...just saw Finding Dory this weekend....and maybe on the Trek socks....just don't feel like pulling them out for pictures...
So how about you? What did you work on? Don't be shy....please link up and link back...thanks!
So here's the thing.....I don't drink coffee...blech! I love tea, but tend to be a black tea drinker....I have tried so hard to enlarge my tea tastes, but I am just too picky...but I am going to try a new tea each week (I get lots of tea bags in my yarn orders...hahaha!)
I do have the whole tea "set-up" situation too....the Hubs bought me a mug and a variety of tea for Christmas from David's Tea.....but it hasn't been much of a hit....
So I tried this Wild Sweet Orange from Tazo, says it is "a juicy herbal infusion of orange peel, lemongrass, citrus herbs and licorice root."
....it wasn't bad...slightly tart.....while I take sugar in my black tea (no milk or cream). I don't usually put anything in herbal teas....
I might actually drink this one again.....
The mug I received in a swap package years ago....it was a "local" package....I think it was from Montana. It's a favorite.
Good evening! I actually worked on some things this week....well I had project ADHD...I couldn't decide on what to work on, so I worked on a whole bunch of things!
Got down to the foot section on this sock...
Added a few rows to my sleeve...
Made a baby hat...and worked on a few more things....and oh yes, my husband's truck was stolen and my car was broken in to.....it was an exciting Monday morning here!
So now...do I have more stash? Of course.....and I plan on buying more today (and I just did!)..sigh....
Nasty woman! in worsted for a hat.....self stripe from White Birch Fiber Arts
Love Potion from Rock and String....self stripe
Kiss Me I'm Irish from Brazen Stitchery (and I just ordered My Zombie Valentine)...self stripe...
hmmm...notice a pattern?
Brazen Stitchery was having a sale, so I also picked up a gradient set.....
And a Game of Thrones back.....(best theme music! Also my ringtone!)
Then my Random Fandom came in....
I am Iron and I Forge Myself....it's from Vikings...I'm behind on that show....so I assume it's from Lagertha...another badass woman!
I am so not a pink fan, but with Valentine's Day coming up and the whole P-hat making...I've come to appreciate it....however all the pinks I have recently bought, also have green in them!
Over the weekend, I ran across a post about World Hijab Day. I decided to participate this year.
So I didn't wear a full hijab, but more of a headscarf. I also invited the Muslim student in my class to bring a hijab to school and talk about it. She is only nine, so she doesn't wear it all the time.
I was very aware I was wearing it all day....I had some looks at school, but I just explained why I was wearing it....I really didn't go anywhere else, except to pump gas.....it was an interesting experience.
Got lots of compliments on it actually....I just felt I needed to show solidarity, in light of the things that I are happening in my country.
