Good evening! This will be short...I am exhausted....But I did get my infusion today, so hopefully I'll be feeling better soon...my toes and fingers have been painful the past two days....
So sorry I missed last week, but I never know if people are going to join in...it seems I've lost most of them...but I'll keep plugging along....
Because of the aforementioned pain, not a lot was worked on since Sunday...you can check out that update, if you'd like. Or my second sock vlog...
So I'm going to head on out....I hope you have a wonderful week.

Year of Projects: Week 7
2018 Finished Projects:
Millennial Slytherin Mitts - Jan 6, 2018
KG AMi - Jan 10, 2018
Shamrock Hat - Jan 20, 2018
Snowflake Hat - Jan 20, 2018
Elephant Reserve - February 11, 2018
Bunny Hat - February 12, 2018
Blue Wave - February 12, 2018
No finishes this week, actually I hardly worked on anything.....I had a root canal on Monday...then I was getting my infusion for my PsA on Tuesday. However, because of the root canal, I couldn't get my infusion...as it is considered an "open wound" and there is a chance for infection....so I've gone about a week longer without the medication in my body. The weather was also rainy and grey. Although cold doesn't affect me that much (unless my joints get cold), rainy weather makes me ache, even with the medication. So I spent much of this week just trying to deal with that...so very little crafting went on....
I did get the heel turn done on my Zombie Valentine socks..and since The Walking Dead starts tonight, I'd like to finish, at least one...I am now on the toe...
Also got the heel turn done on my second Folding Chairs socks...so I almost have a new pair..
And the Jessica Jones cowl keeps on going....
Works In Progress:

Around the World Afghan: (April 2010): about ¼ done - I looked at this recently and I'm still liking it, so I'll keep it...maybe make it a baby blanket instead.

Sock Vlog #2
So I just taped another sock vlog, if you'd like to give a look...it's about 10 minutes long....
These are the socks I talked about in the video....most of the time I do a vanilla or ribbed pattern with a heel flap, especially for the self stripe yarns. I did not include the socks that I am planning on frogging...
Kai Mei by Cookie A in Dreams in Color Smooshy in Happy Forest
Vanilla Sock in Arne & Carlos Design Line for Regia
Folding Chairs by Knitted Wit in a 2x2 ribbed pattern
Hudson Bay Socks by Susan B. Anderson in Fishkill Knits Canadiana
Candy Cane Vanilla sock by Mothy and the Squid in Candy Cane
Zombie Valentine Socks vanilla sock by Brazen Stitchery in My Zombie Valentine, heel is red from Two Sisters Yarn
Just Keep Swimming 2x2 rib by Eat Knit Dye in Just Keep Swimming
Muertos Vanilla pattern in Desert Vista Dyeworks in Dia de las Muertos
Games socks Vanilla Latte pattern in Eat Knit Dye in Flags and Dreams
I realized I left one of my self stripe yarns out....the pattern is Espalier in a yarn from Friday Studios
Thanks for watching...

Year of Projects: Week 6
2018 Finished Projects:
Millennial Slytherin Mitts - Jan 6, 2018
KG AMi - Jan 10, 2018
Shamrock Hat - Jan 20, 2018
Snowflake Hat - Jan 20, 2018
Elephant Reserve - February 11, 2018
Bunny Hat - February 12, 2018
Blue Wave - February 12, 2018
Well look at that! I have three finishes!
I finished Elephant Reserve baby sweater....just need to sew on the buttons....which ones do you like?
The back of the sweater:
I did find some elephant ones, but they are way too big and fiddly..so freaking cute though!
I whipped up a Bunny hat for another baby too (lots of babies being born!)...so I gave her four hats...will be making more throughout the year...
Did I show the others? Here they are:
I copied the pink snowflake hat from her baby shower cake.
I freaking LOVE this hat! I used Backyard Fiberworks Field, a worsted in Deep Creek and Natural. The outside pictures are better, but wasn't sure how well you could see the BLUE 2018 on the front. The hat pattern is free on Ravelry
And I started another pair of socks (my font just changed and I can't figure out why?) Anyway...I saw EatKnitDye working on her socks...checked her etsy store and she didn't have any more skeins/balls...commented on her IG picture and she dm'd me that she did have another...so excited!!!
I did frog one of my shawls that I had barely started...

Shamrock Hat - Jan 20, 2018

Good Sunday morning! I am waiting for the Games to begin again today...it's Sunday...they should have them all day!
Haven't worked on much this week...did get the color work done on the Elephant Reserve sweater, but I still have button bands, the bottom border, and sleeves to complete...
and I have to find buttons.....
also worked a bit on the sock test knit....and some on the neverending Jessica Jones cowl....
I've ordered some mini skeins to do contrast heels....not sure I'll do toes....so I just started the heel on my Zombie Valentine socks
For those of you that do the Fish Lips Kiss heel...do you do the whole cardboard thing before hand? just seems like a lot of work.....but I want to use that heel on my Nemo socks....cuz, of course!!!
Not much has changed in the WIPs categories, as I had no finished objects...

Self Stripe Obsessed
So I have loved self stripe yarn for awhile.....it's a little out of control right now....on Sunday, I decided to pull all the self stripe I could find, as this year is my Year of the Self Stripe Sock....I'm going to try different patterns with my self stripe......not saying I won't buy more this year, but at least this will show me what I started with....also if you have any recommendations of patterns that are good with self stripe, please let me know....thanks!
