So this week, I had some personal stuff going on, so didn't do too much crafting...I did make two 10 inch squares....I have an online/IRL friend. I met her online, but have also met her in real life....anyway she is going through a really tough time right now...and another yarny friend put out a call for squares for a blanket....I made one, but she's only gotten a couple, so yesterday I whipped up a garter stitch square too....no picture of that one...
The stitch is called Swedish Blocks, but I messed up and mine a re a bit shorter...The yarn is from One-of-a-kind Knits. I have 3 skeins from this dyer, no memory of when or where I got them....no color name
Also Fibernymph Dyeworks put out a call for sample knitting for her self stripe yarn...You could volunteer for two colors. The first one I volunteered for is Good 'n Plenty..
So those of you not American...this is named after the Good 'n Plenty candy...which I love! It is black licorice with a pink or white candy coating...yum!!! I love black licorice!
I cast on the second one today...going to try and get them out to her this week. And that is I've worked on...I may have put a few rounds on socks, but that's it....

Works In Progress:
WIPS: Crochet:
Round Ripple: (Started 2006 (?) Aiden)-not sure he'd want this anymore, being a high school freshman and all, but I think I'll finish it for him. He is now a sophomore.
Around the World Afghan: (April 2010): about ¼ done - I looked at this recently and I'm still liking it, so I'll keep it...maybe make it a baby blanket instead.
Sunrise Sunset Afghan: this has been hibernating awhile, 6 squares done. I still love the look of this.
Tabard Tunic (NW Diss 2/1/14) - Haven't made a final decision on this yet.

Venetian Cowl (July 1, 2018)

Learn to Knit Afghan: (started 2010): 3 squares done, I put this in the giveaway yarn bags..not thrilled with colors....will use squares at school for water bottles..
Shark in the Woods (11/27/14)- I really love this, but it's a lot of cabling and I'm not a fan..about 1/2 done.
Vanilla fingerless mitts (12/25/15) - Think I'm going to frog and do different mitts or crochet them.
Zombie Vixen mitts (10/17/15)- still working on them, again cabling

Oooohhhhh that Hood and Plentu yarn is spot on with the colors. You are a great friend to lend you ear to a friend in need. And doing squares for another person who asked. You are very kind.
So annoying when work gets in the way of our crafting! I love the beach bag - the colours are perfect.
That stitch is really pretty and so is the yarn. Your beach bag is so pretty. Was that self striping yarn or did you just use 'leftover' yarns? I love stripes and those are gorgeous.
Back to school! Yes, my daughter went back last week and the kids go back today in Iowa. I know you don't cross stitch but there are 2 kindergarten teachers from Kansas that have a podcast and they are too funny! It's called Stitching in Doo Dah. It might help...they were talking about how tired they were after the first week and how some of the kids were only 4 and oblivious to so much. I can just imagine it must be exhausting. Good luck! I will say a prayer for all of you teachers and students too!
I LOVE your beach bag!!!
