WIP Wednesday and Yarn Along

This week there has not been much crafting...there has been much cleaning and unpacking of the classroom...and I am exhausted when I get home....but I am still plugging away at my Age of Brass and Steam...it is much smaller than last week, as I had to rip it back to a mistake in the first section...and then I just ended up restarting it....

One thing I did do was wind some yarn in anticipation of some upcoming projects....
From left to right: RhinoFluff in Deep Sea, it will become Holden Shawlette                              Wollmeise in No Whale Watching in Colorado destined to be a Wingspan
OceanWind Knits in Thyme, maybe a hat, not sure yet
Bottom Row: Manos Del Uruguay Alegria destined for Waves of Love (maybe)
Mad Color Malcolm Reynolds Widow will be Out of Gas
Ball and Skein Squash Blossom, was going to be a shawl, not sure yet
Ball and Skein Manise, originally wound for Waves of Love, not sure now..

The Ball and Skein in Squash Blossom was going to be a shawl....but a free sock pattern was published today, so it may become them....

I see many socks are being blogged about today...and I have so many socks on the needles, I need to finish.....so maybe I'm becoming a shawl knitter instead?????

For books, I finished the WOOL series on Sunday...the  last installment was published on Saturday...and I pretty much read most of the day Saturday and Sunday....it was so good!!!!

Join us at Tami's to see what else people are working on...

I do know of a sock challenge of sorts going on in the LSG group on Ravelry.....basically, it's what the Yarn Harlot did where she matched sock yarn and a pattern, tossed them in paper bags, and pulled one down at random. Her goal was a pair every month. We're just more...organizing our thoughts, kind of like the Year of Projects but with a bit more specifications :)

I love Wei Siew's designs and her new sock pattern is knit-worthy, for sure. Great yarns and patterns you have queued up ... looking forward to hearing all about your progress!
