YOP: Post 2 - Where did the time go this week?

This week has been a bust on working on anything.  Getting the hang of being back at work, and all that entails has been tough....Lesson plans??  What are those..I kinda flew by the seat of my pants this past week....so must do some planning today for this week....I have a workshop on Tuesday and a half day Wednesday..so that's good...next week, we have Monday off and then I have another workshop on Tuesday....substitute plans are PITA......

I've also been reading a tie-in novel to Stargate Atlantis.  This morning I finished the second book in  the series and promptly downloaded the third....I've never read tie-ins before, but am really enjoying this series...

I have to make another Katniss inspired cowl..this was also a Christmas gift and I was going to make her a pair of fingerless gloves, but gave her a choice and she decided on the cowl.  So I got the yarn and started yesterday...it is actually a very quick crochet...bulky yarn with a size M hook...

Here is a picture of my friend with her cowl.....
I've had one person ask me to teach them how to do it and two others ask if they could pay me to make one...I'm not one for selling my stuff.....I hate being on a deadline.....

I did finish all the hats for my students, though...

And I have worked on my Knit the Sky scarf, but am now 3 days behind

But I did decide that I have make this, Light in Shadows  I have been looking for awhile for a stripey shawl for the Zen Yarn Garden yarn I won...and this is it...but I need the needle, so will be heading to my LYS in a few to pick it up...

That's about all here today!  I hope to blog some more during the week, but the weather has been terrible, hence the lighting has been terrible....but hope to be back on Wednesday..today I plan to craft, then work on lesson plans, then craft, etc....

That's a great cowl; I feel warmer just looking at it. I've just agreed to knit something on commission and I'm totally resenting it already. Oh dear. Probably best to stick with knitting personal stuff!

I find it super cool how you hooked up hats for your students. What an awesome teacher you are. I smiled at you flying by the seat of your pants. I did that so many times back in the day. And oh boy, preppin' for a sub? I kept templates on my computer and just changed the content. But mine were always 6-8 pages long.
Your friend's cowl kicks butt. It's awesome.
