YOP: Week #30

This week I have been working on my Nerd Wars Dissertation, which is my Lanesplitter skirt.  The yarn is rough on the fingertips...but I'm at 30 inches of the circumference.  I am shooting for 48 inches.
I have also been working on my Rainbow Wings and my Vanilla Latte socks.  I think my Rainbow Wings will be done for FO Friday....woo-hoo!!!!  I am trying to finish some WIPs, cuz I have others waiting in the wings to begin!

The toilet got fixed, but then last night, the handle in the bathtub broke! GRRR!  You fix one thing...sheesh!  But the  Hubs and I made a list of things that need to get done...and we are working through it...he loves crossing things off a list....

I also have my list...the things here...so I am trying to work on this list too...

You are witty - Nerd Wars dissertation. You have an interesting list of slated projects. Their titles are intriguing.

I agree that the titles are intriguing... and a long impressive list also. When your hubby's done fixing I have a snagging list at mine... x

It IS one thing after another. We're just trying to figure out which renos we can afford and what order to do them in. So far I'm getting quotes on having the exterior trim sanded, caulked and painted. Roof re-shingling is scheduled for mid-September. And the repairman has been called for the leaking hot tub. Looks like the downstairs bathroom reno and redoing the stairs in hardwood will have to wait until next year! Or even the year after if we have any appliance breakdowns!

Rainbow wings sounds interesting. At least the mental image that sprang to mind was interesting :) Can't wait to see the skirt done and modelled!

Oh no, I do most of the repairs...so far we have:
fixed kitchen drawer that fell apart both of us

Fixed shower head - me (he unscrewed it)

Fixed tub handle - me

Fixed toilet - me

Cleared clog in sink - both kind of

We still have several things on the list...

That list is amazing! So ,any things! And I love seeing conversation from other YoP bloggers in regards to nerd wars. We may be in different nerdaries, but it is still fun.

I love the lanesplitter! So pretty. Really want to make it myself once I find the perfect yarn for it :)

Looking forward to the skirt it looks so interesting and so does the image I have of rainbow wings in my head, it will be good to see if the FO matches that but either way I reckon it's going to be beautiful.

P.S. November sounds perfect because I am still busy with outside work too and haven't decided on a color scheme yet or gotten yarn for it. This time my colors will come from "inspiration" of some type. I learned that from you! I love your items that have a meaning and a story to them.

You are doing Lanesplitter for your dissertation? You are a brave brave soul! This is my first NW so I am doing my first complete pair of socks for my diss. I wish you luck and can't wait to see it! I have been drooling over this pattern for quite some time!
