A Year of Projects: Week 46

And looky there, I skipped a week again!  I had a pretty bad flareup and wasn't crafting for many days, so I had nothing new to add...since then, I've finished two projects and started another.

I finished the Fun Circuits cowl, you can read about it here.  I also finished my nephew's Skyping Beanie....I need to stop by and give it to him today, as he is going back to school.  I loved the yarn I used for it...Valley Yarns Superwash Bulky...it is WEBS house yarn (like a house wine).  I just hope the red doesn't run!  I don't have a picture of it right now and it's dark here, so I'll post one on Friday for the Wrap-Up....here's an "in Progress" picture

This week is parent/teacher conferences...so three half days and one really long day! And then, Friday, when we will all be walking zombies...

The other project I started was the Lucy thumbless mitts....very tiny work!

I have been trying to quiet the castitis I am having, so casting on smaller projects, I did start a cowl on big, bulky yarn with big needles, but it's not going as fast I would like......I do want to finish a few more WIPs before the end of the year....

I think that is it for me right now, as it is still dark and I can't take any pictures at the moment...but I do post progress pics on Instagram, if you follow me...

Sorry to hear about the flare up. I hope that stays calmed down for you. Love that dark wine color. Seems like this time of year get so busy!

Great progress you have this week. Our parent/teacher conferences happen next week. In the city they did the whole week. Here in the east bay, it's only W-F.

The Circuits Cowl looks great. What a nice gift for a woman who's turned tragedy into something so helpful for others.

I hope your symptoms subside and stay away!

Isn't it fun knitting with big yarn?! I tried out some mega bulky the other day just to see this gorgeous big stitches!

I love your cowl and the bracelet quote...so true! You have to watch out for those suckers! Part of the reason I am such a recluse! I went to the local grocery store the other day and a man in the checkout told me I was too noisy as I was trying to get a cart.....I told him it was the cart that was noisy...not me! LOL! Can you believe it? There are so many unhappy people out there and they seem to love to share it with the rest of us....no thanks....if I could help them it would be one thing...but most seem to enjoy their misery and want to use us as scapegoats....been there done that so no more "suckers" in my life! Good luck with conferences and enjoy your day off. I love your hat in the bulky. One of the few bulky projects that I like....very nice color combo too. Have a great week and have LOTS of fun!
