Year of Projects: Week 26

I am halfway though my year, while most of the group will be starting a new Year of Projects....they go July to June....I go January to December

**Some of this was posted Wednesday, for the very small number that read it, I apologize for the repeats**

So looky there!  I started moving totes up to the attic room...my newly dubbed "Stash Space" It looks like this right now
I have about 20 more totes to go!!!!!

I have cast on another new project, the Colourscape Cowl....I don't have a picture of it yet...but I'm loving it so far....

I did pick up my Carlos and Arne socks after a long hiatus..I cast them on 9" circs, but I kept losing stitches off of them, so I put them on some Karbonz...I also started the second sock...it's about double the size of what is shown in the picture, but not matching, which may drive me mad...
I did pull out the Meandering top, but still not sure where I am in it...looks like I separated for the arms....and it looks like it's going to be HUGE, so I have to really pull it out and look at it...

And I am pounding away at the Sockhead hat.....I have about 4" to go before decreasing for the top..

Sunday is the cast-on for the Beekeeper Cardigan.  I'm all set and ready for that....my yarn is Malabrigo in Sunset

It is also the start date for the Venetian Cowl, this is crochet.  I'm excited to have a beautiful crochet project to work on...this is the yarn I am using.
MadelineTosh in Magnolia Leaf.....

I'm thinking of casting on a pair of shortie socks for July 4....but am resisting...also wound a whole bunch of skeins yesterday for some upcoming projects....I will be busy the month of July...

I'll need to get a new goals list up for the month, probably next week.

And I'll be getting up early on Sunday to shop in the #titsoutcollective.  If you have not heard of this, it's here on Countess Ablaze's blog....I have my eye on several things, so we'll see what I'm able to snag....this will be the last "big" yarn buying until Rhinebeck...not saying I won't buy other yarn, I know myself too well....

June goals:
- finish or close to finish the Kiss Me, I'm Irish
- figure out and work the Fish Kiss Lips heel on Keep Swimming
- possible start moving yarn totes up to attic room, after logging what's in each tote
- swatch for the Waves Tank, then knit
- pull out The Meandering Top and see where I'm at (it's been hibernating)

- cast on for the Tegna top, the Vintersol sweater and the Rainbow Cardi

Around the World Afghan: (April 2010): about ¼ done - I looked at this recently and I'm still liking it, so I'll keep it...maybe make it a baby blanket instead.

Vanilla fingerless mitts (12/25/15) - Think I'm going to frog and do different mitts or crochet them.
Zombie Vixen mitts (10/17/15)- why I may crochet the others...have these and still working on them, again cabling

Your stash looks so organized and neat ... I recently went hunting for a certain ball of light grey yarn I def knew I owned, and well, let's just say I met some old aquaintances along the way that I hadn't seen for a long, long time. ;-) The Venetian Carnival looks interesting, is that going to be a CAL, or did you just set your own starting date?

What a great idea labeling your totes and what a great space in your attic....I love slanted ceilings! Your socks look great and I love the hat. The sweater is a great pattern. July is actually a hard time for me to prep for the new YOP year but I managed! LOL! You have gotten so much done in 2018 already....I'm a slacker for sure!

20 more totes?! LOL! I’m going to stop feeling guilty about all the yarn I have! Looks very organized and tidy, so well done!

Non-matching socks used to really bug me, but in that busy yarn ‘m sure a fraternal pair will look great!

Now THAT is a stash! You have me beat by far. How fun it must be to go stash diving at your house LOL.

I like your organization. I didn't notice all the detailed labels on the totes until I read Sam's comment above. This past week I found some specific purple yarn I had searched for earlier in the year, but back then I didn't manage to see it in the box labeled "purple yarn". So I ended up looking elsewhere and finally gave up (for a time) only to find it a few days ago in the "purple yarn" box. Sigh. If I'd had a more detailed list attached to each box, I would have saved myself so much time. Not sure I want to go to that much effort now that I've got it all organized and tucked neatly away (I'd have to unpack each box and itemize everything and that just isn't going to happen anytime soon), but you sure do give me something to consider. Maybe when I get it whittled down to something more manageable... Hope spring eternal.

Wow you are so organized, I should take a leaf out of your book. I love that yarn for your crochet project.

Mmm a stash space sounds fabulous! And the colour of your malabrigo is perfect.

I'm loving the Magnolia leaf colorway for your cowl and the beekeeper cardigan is a great fall color, Can't wait to see more of both!
That's some great organization you have going on there! I'm hoping to destash a lot of yarn this year or at the very least get it entered into Ravelry. I never seem to be able to find what I need when I start a project, then half way through I find it. Which is why my stash is so out of control!
