Finally Finished - First of the Year!

So I did finish two sock WIPs last weekend...one long languishing one and one I'd recently started.

These are my Muertos socks:

Cast-on: August 13, 2017
Kitchenered: January 19, 2019

So a little under two years...;/

Yarn: Desert Vista Dyeworks Dia de los Muertos on her Viso base
Pattern:  Vanilla with a Fish Lips Kiss Heel, yarn from TwoSisters Sister Sidekick in Red
Needles:  Karbonz 2.25mm

I was amazed at how well the heel color matched the red in the stripes!

Of course these lived in my Sugar Skull bag from Jessalu

My second pair of socks are Doctor Who themed....

So I kept hearing about Felici yarn from Knitpicks...I have an issue with the company, so had never ordered from them.  But I gave in awhile back when they brought Time Traveler back....I actually bought three colors (2 skeins of each), but I have gifted the others away...
Cast-on: October 7, 2018
Kitchenered: January 22, 2019

Yarn: KnitPicks Felici in the Time Traveler colorway
Pattern:  Vanilla pattern with a slip stitch heel
Needles:  9 inch circular 2.25 mm

Okay, so I'm glad I tried it, but I won't order any more from them....The yarn is super soft, I'm assuming it wears well, since so many people rave about it.

However, I was still working on the cuff when I ran into a knot...
Obviously I was not happy.  Also, which I'm sure this is me just used to matching skeins, but I did them side by side on two 9-inch circulars and the skeins did not start at the same place.  So I had to run off some yarn to get them at the same starting point.

Yes the knot is still in them....I'm living with it.........Oh and they lived in a Doctor Who bag from Jessalu

I am working on some more socks now...I came home early today with a stomach bug, so in bed with a sock WIP.....

Yous is whippin out dem socks, Mrs. I like Knit Picks. If I have to knit a gift and want to keep the costs down, I will order from them. The first skein of Felici I had knitted with years ago, I liked how the yarn is soft but wasn't impressed with the dye job. Later on I knit a snake for my nephew with another skein and it was much better. I haven't ordered from them for a while though but keep them in my back pocket.

Oh so sorry you are not feeling well. I love the socks I do not like Knit picks yarns very much.
