Still Don't Have a Header..I'll Make One This Weekend
Good morning! So I've updated my list. I actually have more socks than I showed on the video (last week's post, if you missed it). I have a pair that is only a cuff and one repeat, the Espalair ones. I also have a pair that I frogged the leg on one of the socks, as I'd done the two socks at different times and the different tension was obvious. They are beaded...so they'll be making a reappearance at some point.
I started a new shawl, The Van Gogh. I bought the yarn last week at Slater Mill. It's from Fiber Stash and I think I want it done for St. Patrick's Day...It's a dropped stitch shawl, so may go fast. I started it today and got through three repeats, I think I'm going to love it!
I also "restarted" the Zomboni scarf. I didn't frog the whole thing and the beginning is a mess, I couldn't read the pattern yet. But once I got it going, I'm loving it! The yarn is The Farmer's Daughter in Foxy Lady. It's a 70% merino, 30% silk blend and just lovely
Sorry the quality of the picture is so bad, it was close to ten at night.
Some other stash acquisitions..I need to start the Saturday acquisitions posts back again
Shirsty Cat, colorway is Buzz Buzz in BFL Sock and Alpaca Poof - to be a cowl
Hedgehog Fibres Kidsilk Lace - to be a scarf
Shibu Knits in Cima and Silk CLoud (this blue!!! Swoon! And I am not a blue fan) - another cowl
Oink Pigments (the solid) Mystic, its Dk in Dijon Vu
Spun Right Round Squish DK in Rumble in Brighton - one more cowl
This I bought at Slater Mill. It was discounted from Christmas. I mainly got it for the straights. I don't have a ton of straights. There are 18 pair included. You could have chosen one with circs (my friend Maureen got those) or crochet hooks. They are just plain bamboo straights. The yarn and mug were included. I don't use cotton too often, it hurts my hands too much, although I can crochet with cotton without too much issue...
So I'm getting ready to publish. Been dealing with a nasty headache all morning. I do have another video ready, but my wifi is being a b*tch! The Hubs and I can't even send each other GIFs right now! I'm going to have to go to my other house and clear the cache, let the pictures and videos upload, because they are just stuck right now...we did have a snowstorm which does affect our reception....
I use my camera for stash photos, so I don't have to upload them via the wifi, as I use the SDHC card...I might try video taping that way too, but my camera does not have a front facing screen option...or just keep dealing with the wifi issues.
Anyway, I will have a video up on my Youtube channel (Graceysgoodies) probably late tomorrow. It is about my 11 shawl WIPs that I have heading into the new year...without the two more I cast on since then!
See you in the comments!

Can't wait to see more of your shawls. And of whatever you are going to make with those lovely yarns you posted.
Browsing through your pictures is like looking at yarn porn! lol. So yummy. I love the colours of your st. patrick's day shawl. It will be perfect!
11 shawls WIPs. I can understand that. I also get casting on 2 new ones. Shawls are so darn addictive and very useful. I would rather make a shawl than a sweater.
Unfortunately, cowles are not needed where we live. I find them fantastic and have seen so many gorgeous ones. Makes me a bit jealous.
Lovely acquisitions, I shall check out your shawl WIPs video when it is loaded
Your yarns are gorgeous and the greens for St. Patrick's Day are so awesome...I want them too! I always feel better about my WIP's after reading your posts. You go girl! I finally wrote down your podcast...I forgot to last week and if I don't write it down it does not get done...sorry! Enjoy your new castons!
Beaded socks? I can't wait to see them! Beautiful yarns!
I’m with you on finding cotton unpleasant to knit. Also bamboo. Fortunately you’ve got some yummy silks to use instead!
Your yarn acquisitions are lovely. I have The Van Gogh shawl in my queue to do some day, I love your yarn choices for it!
All the acquisitions are gorgeous but I really love the greens in the yarn for the first shawl.
Nice yarn. Happy knitting! Regula
