Meandering Top on a road trip to Rhode Island

Wow!  So I haven't posted since January! I am so sorry.....I'm going to do a quick catch-up and I'll post.  Hopefully, I'll remember to post next week too.

So my spouse is doing well and is in school.  Three days a week she is near Boston, Mass.  She is training to be an electrologist.  There is a need for them in the trans community.

My health has been up and down this year.   #EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My cat just walked on the keyboard, she had something to say, I guess.

School started full in with everyone.  I've had 4 kids quarantine in the first 3 weeks.  Two because of travel...

I am taking a sweater class at one of my LYS's for the Ranuculus.  Had the first session yesterday.  I had a hell of a time with the cast-on and ended up with lots of extra stitches....Brought it home and restarted it...today finished the short rows and am ready for next Saturday...

My Radiate is about 70% done....almost finished with the body..

I met the designer Casapinka....and I only finished 1 of my 12 cast-ons...

Now to update the list...I did do one of Freshstitches patterns, that was on my 12 Cast-ons..I finished a couple of super old WIPs(one from 2006!) ......And there are things I finished that were not on my list....I didn't keep track really well this year....

Sunrise Sunset Afghan: this has been hibernating awhile, 6 squares done. I still love the look of this. Don't think this is at the Homestead, will have to check.
Tabard Tunic (NW Diss 2/1/14) - Haven't made a final decision on this yet
Venetian Cowl (July 1, 2018) I love this, but the stitch just takes a Loooong time!

Projects, Year 8, Week 2

I have really not done much, the past week as been....trying....The spouse went in for a stress test on Tuesday.  There was an issue.  She was admitted to the hospital for an angiogram.  There was a full blockage of one of her arteries.  They finally did the stint on Friday and she came home Saturday.  Obviously I was not allowed to visit.  

So I was teaching (we were allowed to virtual teach these next two weeks, as the students are virtual, thank goodness!) and I had to do all of her chores...feeding the chickens, and the cats (inside and outside), keeping the wood stove full, and oh yeah, cooking.....The PSA I have really affects my knee and hip joints.  The wood stove is in the basement.  I teach in my yarn room, on the second floor.  SO I had to go up and down stairs several times of day...by the end of each day, I was in a lot of pain and exhausted...so I would take pain medication and go to bed early.....so I really got nothing done...I think I put a couple of rounds on some socks and that was it....

Today (Sunday), I whipped up a pair of crocheted fingerless mitts (almost full) for her.  She has never really worn gloves or mittens, but the HRT has changed her body composition in many ways.  She is more cold now then she used to be....and doing all the work outside, her hands are freezing....so I pulled a skein of Lion Brand Wool-Ease out of my stash and just crocheted a pair...no pattern and I fit them to her as I worked on each section....

I did cast-on the Dissent Pullover last Sunday, as one of my 12 Cast-ons....

Year of Projects, Year 8, Week 1

 Good morning!  So it is week 1 for me of year 8.  Last year I was very inconsistent.  Not sure how I'll do this year.   I have some crafting plans for the year, but the only ones I've posted are my 12 Cast-ons...I think this may be the year of the sweater, besides the 3 (and 2 baby ones) in my cast-on list...I also have yarn for at least 3 more....one being the Love Note, which I think I'll cast on soonish...I have the mohair, but not sure about the fingering....the mohair is a gorgeous wine color, but the fingering, I pulled from stash and they are four different colorways, so kind of a fade.  I know the mohair will unite them all....what do you think?

The picture is of most of the 12 Cast-ons....I am keeping them in this basket or if they are in a big bag/basket of their own, near this basket.
