I got it! I got it!!! Finally!!!!! So I am on my way.....Kelly also posted a very informational video on how to do the Traveling Stitch without a cable needle....and while my goal is to eventually cable without a needle, not sure I am ready for that yet.....
So here I am......
Again the yarn is so very, very yummy!!!! I'm also loving the slight variation of color in the blue...
We are off from another day of school...at this rate, we won't have an April vacation....and I can finally leave the house...so I have a few errands to run...when I get back..I'll work on it some more...

Obligatory Snow Post
Charlotte or Nemo (I have no idea why there are two names) dumped a ton of snow on Connecticut...We got about 2 feet....picture heavy post....
About 6:00 PM on Friday Front Steps and porch
About 10:30 Friday night: street and front porch
About 1:00 Friday night
The aftermath on Saturday:
And school has been cancelled today, as roads are still not clear enough to be passable...and tomorrow is also in doubt... That second to last picture, you can see snow on the inside..we did have snow on the inside, too...oh and it took the hired snow plow guys three hours to clear our driveway with a snow blower...

YARN ALONG and WIPs
I have had a bit of project ADD this week.....
What we have here is...4 pairs of socks....2 cowls.....1 amigurami owl..and a sooper seekrit project for a swap....as I don't think she'll read my blog, I figured I'd show the beginning of it...
3 of the pairs of socks...from the top: Johnny's Socks, Hermione's Everyday and the Beaded Camos
Underneath is the Sooper Seekrit Project....
From left to right.....the beginnings of the amigurami owl (it's a Valentine owl), the Sooper Seekrit Project, the Deep Blue Seas Cowl...and the newest pair of socks, Business Casual (the Cazh)...and last is the Crikey Cowl!
Yeah just a bit of project ADD....I have worked a bit on all of them....seems like we will be having snow on Friday...so I'll have an extra day to work on projects...whoop!
In reading news....Barnes and Noble has a free ebook Friday...and this Friday I downloaded The Demi-Monde by Rod Rees.....it's apocalyptic science fiction...I'm enjoying it so far...but it is a series..so we'll see.....I'm also going to start Soulless of the Parasol Procterate...as there is a read along going on...and I've had it loaded for a couple of months...
To see what everyone else is up to, please click on over to Tami and Ginny...

So Cazh...
On Monday I cast on my fifth pair of socks, not fifth pair that I have made, but at the moment I have 4 other pairs of socks on the needles....I chose to cast on these because they are part of a KAL and I could win a prize...I like prizes.....so my new socks are Business Casual by Tanis Lavallee. I am using Ball and Skein Sophia, which is so, so luscious!!!!!!!
Sorry picture is dark, it's late here....and I had to do some correcting tonight, so I started them and then went back to them about 8pm.....
I'm also using Knitter's Pride Karbonz needles. I tend to prefer wood or bamboo needles and hooks, but always willing to try others.....
Monday I also received a package of yarn.....more on that later....

Superbowl? What Superbowl?
What did I do during the Superbowl? My own form of sport...I wound.....lots...14 skeins to be exact...
Mostly sock yarn, a couple worsted....yarn for projects already in mind...and I'd go to start them and say..."oh crap! I have to wind the yarn!" So marathon session during the Superbowl, only stopping to watch Downton Abbey....I did watch Return of the King throughout the marathon session, but since my ball winder can get loud...I wanted to watch something, I did not necessarily need to hear...(and much of the dialogue I know by heart)
Top from left to right: Gnomeacres Joker, Craftsmeow Softserve, Ball and Skein (for KAL starting today)
Second Row: 2 skein Mad Color Land of Oz, Lorna's Laces Cermak, Quaere Fibre Rolling in the Deep
Bottom Row: Schmutzerella Presents and in front of it, C is for Coal (sock kit),
I can't remember the two on the bottom in the middle and too tired to go look...the brownish-orange on the right is Sanguine Gryphon Bugga in Copper Moth..and the two in front of it are Manos De Uruguay Silk Blend...they are for a pair of fingerless mitts. Oh the pinky one on the bottom is Brambles Autumn Flame..oh and oh yeah the hidden one is Lorna's Laces Christmas at Downton...
Yes I know that there is a major color variation in the 2 Land of Oz...that's because I bought one a couple years before the other....They are for a sweater..I have 2 old skeins, that are a bit darker and have some blue in them..going to use those for the sleeves, I think....

YOP Week 5
Good morning! It snowed last night....I have 2 more days on my antibiotic...I am still sneezing and have the occasional cough, but my ears no longer are bothering me. I will be glad to be done, as I think it is disturbing my sleep. Since I have been on this new one, I sleep solid for about 3-4 hours, then am up for about 2 before I can fall asleep again..so then I take long naps when I get home and the cycle just repeats itself!
No finishes this week, as I really only worked on things yesterday. Today I will be doing the swatch test for my dissertation, so that is the Saturn Sweater (no pic yet). I also finished one of The Hubs "Feet Blankies" (his words) last night. This is the third pair I've made him, he is very rough on them..why I will never make him socks. They are tough on my hands, because the fabric is very thick. I did another section of beading on the Camo Beaded Socks. I also started two cowls. One was started in January, but I forgot to log it..as I'd RIPPED most of it to restart it. I also got a couple new purchases of yarn this week, hence the Crikey Cowl!
