Tired....but it was worth it!

It was a good day, but I am absolutely exhausted! Spent a lot of time in the sun, eating and hanging out...

I also met baby G., my cousin's granddaughter. I happened to have some Manos del Uruguay Cotton Stria with me, so I made her a hat. She was a preemie, born three weeks early, so they haven't been able to find a hat to fit her, I fit it to her head...

First we went to Willimantic for the Boombox Parade (where the goal is to get as much candy as possible. My niece had about a 5 pound bag when we left!). It's just a giant parade filled with fun: George Washington on the Delaware, the Scooby van, Vikings, candy and more! Then we went to a friend's house in New Britian to watch the fireworks. Here are some pics of my day....

Then onto the fireworks in New Britian:

I get very envious of the holidays you have in the states . . . Independence Day, Thanks Giving. It always sounds like so much fun!

Great photos! What a sweet baby and kudos for whipping up a custom fitted hat. :)

I love the baby hat. I had a premature baby so I sympathise with the difficulty of getting things to fit. How brilliant of you to make it to size.

How sweet of you to make that hat! She's too cute sitting there in it.
