It has been raining pretty much, off and on since Thursday and is suppose to continue for a few more days....we had some sun on Saturday..and then the clouds rolled in and we had a thunderstorm with a massive downpouring of rain. The Hubs got caught in it, as he had to pick up the lawnmower from the repair shop....it was not pretty...
I knitted most of yesterday, as I have a birthday gift to finish for tomorrow....I made a few mistakes, those damn Yarn Overs, but I fudged as best as I could, as I did not have to time to go back for two of them.....but I will say, I am beginning to finally be able to "read" most of my knitting....
Today I'll finish that....and the second clue for the MKAL came out, so may work on that...
Really weird...this big giant bee type thing kept flying past my window....it was like it was riding the air currents....it did it for about 30 minutes before the storm hit..I went outside and it kept doing it...it was strange...
I also want to finish a hat I started for Hat Day on Friday.....
Since I don't have children and my Mom is in Florida.....I get to spend the day however I want..(I know something different)...The Hubs will go out to see his mom...
So Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there in the blogosphere.....

It's been raining here constant too but that's quite normal for Ireland at any time of the year but especially May. Hope you get the present done on time and enjoy spending your day however you want to.
Rainy days are always such a bonus for us knitters aren't they? We had beautiful weather here yesterday and are to have the same today... But rain all week...
The kids will be stir crazy by Tuesday!
We have had rain here too. I have managed to do a good amount of knitting whilst the boys played. May even get to some more after the ironing!!
We have had lots more rain than usual here in rainy Seattle too--but today was gorgeous. My husband and sons put up the tarp/awning and we even grilled steaks and ate dinner outside! I think we have a mild sunny week on tap, but rain for next weekend. I hope you enjoyed your day and that the creepy bee took a hike.
xoxoo
ps: I am not a fan of those yarn overs right now either! ;)
What was that bee-type thing? .. so weird .. I'm amazed that you managed to get a picture of it! Oh and don't forget to take a picture of the birthday gift before you gift it! ;-)
We've had tons of rain too, but after a cold, windy winter all my evergreens have really appreciated the daily thorough soakings. The last two days were sunny and beautiful, now it's back to rain again.
Being able to "read" your knitting is a big step and will make a ton of difference. Very quickly you'll find that you can see where you've gone wrong and fix it before you're too far past. And it saves a lot of counting rows and counting stitches, I find.
Good luck on getting the birthday present finished! Be sure to post pictures.
They keep saying it's going to rain and it's dark like it wants to but nothing yet today but if I go out there and try to get some work done it will start pouring for sure.
You are busy like a bee so maybe it was a message? LOL!
Isn't it great to be able to "read" your knitting? I know exactly what you mean. IT must mean we've learned a thing or two.
Happy Mother's Day to you too...mother or not, everyone gets to celebrate!
