Our first stop was at Marji's Yarncrafts in Granby, CT.....I wanted to stop there, as I don't go here often, but always enjoy her displays when I do...plus the Koigu!!!
The shop is packed with it, but she has much more....her displays are really great....she makes use of her space. I only took a couple of quick pictures...
Displays work! I bought the yarn to make that Teddy Sweater by Terri Kruse. I have two babies I need to make sweaters for....so there you go....
So the two Malabrigo on the left are for the sweater. The two skeins on the top are Regia Perfect Sock from Arne and Carlos (I really need to finish the other one of theirs) and that wreath in the middle? It's in the second to last picture. They had sets of these hanging from the ceiling. Maureen and I both bought one. Diane already has it, so we are going to knit it together. It is for the Koigu Colourscape Cowl....so gorgeous!!! And I bought some FlexiFlips to try them out...
Then we took a sidetrip to Lyric Hill Farm. We know Nancy from various festivals. I had been to the farm once before...I needed soap....
We got up close and personal with a couple of the Alpine goats...she showed us her studio and we just chatted for about an hour...
Then...
I didn't take any pictures in WEBS, but I bought a bit....
The Galway I picked up at Northampton Wools.....we went into Northampton to grab something to eat....and stopped by Northampton Wools....I got the yarn for the I Care hat.....I'm really into the message hats....
I bought the Amaranto kit..that was my big purchase. The Hubs had liked it when we were up there a couple weeks ago...I came into a bit of money, so I splurged on it....The yarn is Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend....I think it'll be something I wear a lot!!!!
I also picked up some baa ram ewe dovestone dk, just to try it....It was in the backroom....
and of course, I never leave WEBS without some MadTosh.....got Tosh Merino Light in Silence was Golden, Cosmic Silver and Cactus Flower, maybe for a Color Affection?
We ended the day at Local Burger, where Diane indulged in a Captain Crunch Hot Dog!
Diane has lived a sheltered life, she was married at 16! She is now going out and exploring and trying new things. Although she is still not online at all, but I applaud her for getting out of her comfort zone and being willing to try new things....

WEBS!!!!!! I shop online with them quite a bit. I am super jealous that you went in person and could touch and feel in person. Sounds like a wonderful trip you ladies had. Loved your photos. Especially the up close and personal goat photo.
Marsha aka Leftyknitter, I go to WEBS often. It's about an hour away in one of our favorite towns just to go and hang out...
It sounds like a fantastic day with wonderful friends.
